I am very pleased today to finally announce the new Sidekick, simply being called the new Sidekick LX. As you might have figured out, I’m a Sidekick fan. I love the Sidekicks. They are the perfect phone for a basic persons needs. All details/specs are as promised, looks exactly as predicted, but no one could predict the price: $199.99 on a new contract! Incredible for a new phone. Not much to say here so…let’s wrap this up with a picture and a release date. Does this sum it up?

For a little while, I’ve been noticing a few new things on the T-Mobile USA website.
The sidebar showing your ‘cart’ recently has a newer look. Still keeping the basic information and details, I think it looks nice and hope the rest of the site will look this…dare I say ‘advanced’ in the future.
They are also now using a new format to show special discounts/new phones and stuff like that using corner images, like Apple does.

The phones listed on the phones page has no specific order now. They used to be free/cheap phones decending to smart phones.
Those are just a few little things I’ve noticed. Have you noticed anything else?

T-Mobile has finally released it’s first USB laptop stick, further extending it’s range of 3G devices. It’s good to see T-Mobile likes Apple, as the device is Windows and Mac compatible. Pick it up today for $49.99, $249.99 no contract. The thing I don’t like is paying $59.99 for 5 GBs of data. Who can limit themselves to that?
Are you a pirate? ;D

Photobucket announced the availability of an innovative mobile photo service exclusively for T-Mobile that enables users to send photos directly from mobile handsets to several destinations: a Photobucket album, a PC, or an email addresses. The Photobucket Mobile Uploader for T-Mobile is available initially on five select handsets. After a 21-day trial, it’s $19.99.
In a related story, the three current Sidekicks now have a Photobucket app available to download in the downloads catalog, for $1.99 initial purchase and $1.99/mo. This is also more evidence to the new Sidekick 3G, which is rumored to have Photobucket support as well, which will probably be free for it.

I haven’t posted anything about the Memoir yet, due to lack of excitement. Who on earth would want to spend almost $600 (more than the original iPhone when released, which was $500) on a phone without a cool open-source operating system, WiFi, or a better touch screen? The screen is too small for what it thinks it can do, and seriously, my camera doesn’t even have 8megapixels. Who needs it? The more megapixels, the more space it will take up where I store it at. There’s two types of cameras needed. One for average people, which should be about 7.2 megapixels. Not bad, not big, and clear. And one for photographers, who need 48395473653.439 megapixels.
The keyboard is crap for this overly priced I-do-everything-and-have-a-big-camera phone. Stick with the lower end Samsung, and leave the big phones to the big boys.

It’s rumored that T-mobile doesn’t want anymore Windows Mobile phones. They see Android as “A Windows of future.” I, myself, also see a larger market for the new Android market in the future and think this is a smart move for T-Mobile to get ahead of the market. I also think some better hardware for the software is needed. I don’t like the G1, but love Android.

I’ve been busy caring for my poor dog and my boyfriends website. He has a guild for WoW and wanted a site for it. You can check it out here. I’ll be catching up on all my sources and be posting new news by tonight. More features coming to the site soon, also.

My dog needs surgery. She has hormone problems, and her vaginal lining has emerged from her. I can’t afford it right now. I only need about $500. I know this is asking for a lot, but if people could chip in a little I’d be so greatful.

T-Mobile announced that starting March 10th, Sidekick users will have the option to have MyFaves on your screen for no additional cost, but you won’t get the plan. What for? According to T-Mobile it’s an easier one-touch way to call, text, or e-mail. I guess you could look rich by saying you have MyFaves also. =]
